Book Launch: Remembering Our Relations available for download or purchase

We our extremely excited to announce that Remembering our Relations: Dënesųłıné Oral Histories of Wood Buffalo National Park is now available for purchase or free download from the University of Calgary Press.

We would again like to thank ACFN for the privilege of supporting them in sharing these stories. We would also like to thank all those who believed these stories were important to share with the world. We hope that now this truth has been shared, we can move to reconcile the many past wrongs detailed in the book.

If you would like to learn more about this history we would encourage you to also visit the Network in Canadian History & Environment | Nouvelle initiative Canadienne en histoire de l'environnement which published a series of blogs and a podcast on the topic. We would also encourage you listen to the Canadaland podcast “The Taking of Wood Buffalo National Park” hosted by Brandi Morin who expertly tells the story of the displacement of Dënesųłıné people from WBNP.

If you have any questions or comments please feel free to reach out to us directly or send a message of support to ACFN on their website concerning their expulsion from the park.
